Rare GERMAN WW2 PILOT Qualification BADGE Up for auction is a rare German WW2 PILOTS QUALIFICATION BADGE. The badge was originally introduced in 1935 in order to award personnel of the DLV, Deutscher Luftsportsverband Fliegerschaft, (German Air Sports Association, Pilot Base). The DLV was the secret forerunner of the Luftwaffe, as the Treaty of Versailles in 1919 imposed strict limitations on German Airpower. In 1936 the badge was officially adopted by the Luftwaffe. The item is marked on the back. For sample I put a pictures of the German officer with the same badge. Reference:Detlev Niemann in "Price Guide. Orders and decorations Germany" 2004, page 636 put 575 EURO ($650 - six years ago!!) for that nice award. Here is a special offering with a great investment potential. Estimate price for this item is $900-$950.
