badge 3d class in steel, which is stamped on the back. It is 1st version with
date and award number. The TODT organization
was founded in 1938 and constructed military and other
installations in the Third Reich. The award was also issued
in recognitions of inventions that aided the war effort. Reference: Detlev Niemann in "Price Guide. Orders and decorations
Germany", 2008, page 355, catalogue price is $2000.
